$850,000 raised by Peloton for Roswell

Money raised will help fund cancer research.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Every person at the Peloton wants to see an end to cancer.

To ride in the Peloton, you must fundraise a minimum of $2,500.

The Ride for Roswell was started by Mitch Flynn in 1996. It is now one of the biggest charity cycling events in North America.

Flynn said "people are alive because of money raised by the ride and other events at Roswell. It funnels to really good research."

West Herr President and CEO Scott Bieler said the great care at Roswell "brings hope to every person that they touch."

157 riders participated and they raised $850,000.

Police escorted the bicyclists on a 12-mile procession in a two-by-two formation from Roswell Park to the University at Buffalo's North campus.

Today is the Ride for Roswell.
