4th Pawsitive Heroes class begins at Niagara County

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is excited to welcome its 4th Pawsitive for Heroes class. 

Pawsitive for Heros is a program that was established in 2013 by WNYHeroes to help train and provide service dogs to Veterans in medical need. Those in need are referred through local VA hospitals. 

The program's partnership at Niagara County Correctional Facility pairs incarcerated individuals with canines for service animal training, and once the program is completed the dogs get to continue their journey as serving a WNY Veteran.
