Overnight Fire on Dewitt Street

An early-morning fire raced through a Dewitt Street home Sunday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Firefighters are investigating what sparked a West Side fire early Sunday morning.

It started around 4 a.m. at a home on Dewitt Street.

Buffalo Fire tells 2 On Your Side the fire started on the first floor and then spread quickly all the way to the attic.

Everyone got out safely. The Red Cross is now helping the eight adults and children who lived there.

The fire caused about $150,000 worth of damage.
