LANCASTER, NY-- One person is dead following a head-on collision in Lancaster.
The accident happened around 11:45 a.m. Monday on Genesee Street near Harris Hill Road.
Investigators say a minivan being driven by a 42-year-old man from Lancaster was traveling east on Genesee Street when for unknown reasons, crossed over into the west lane of traffic and crashed into a tractor trailer.
The driver of the minivan was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor trailer, a 35-year-old man from Buffalo, was not injured in the crash.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. Genesee Street was closed for a few hours while police cleared the scene.
