BUFFALO, N.Y. — The OLV Basilica in Lackawanna is debuting an original comic book in honor of Father Nelson Baker.
The local Catholic church is releasing a comic book this week titled "Father of the Fatherless" to remember the story of Father Baker.
"We decided that this time during the centennial, it'd be a great time as we are shedding light on the Basilica, to shed light on the legacy of Father Baker," Rev. Msgr David Lipuma said.
"Especially young people today, to get them engaged. Get them to know more about who Father Baker is."
Tuesday's debut event will include a reading by Lipuma and followed by a Q&A with the artist and publisher for kids from Catholic schools from across the Diocese.
