NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — As we make our way through the first month of 2024 the Niagara County Sheriff's Office wants to remind motorists that those with yellow inspection stickers will need to renew as soon as possible.
All yellow inspection stickers have expired as of January 1. New inspection stickers should be the color red or blue for the 2024-25 years.
According to the NYS DMV, those with expired inspections after 60 days will receive a fine of $25 - $50. Fines that exceed 60 days will cost those between $50 - $100.
Those who have no inspection at all will have to pay between $50 - $100 with a surcharge of $88 added to the fine.
