North Tonawanda woman asks for Christmas cards to be sent sister-in-law with stage-4 cancer, epilepsy

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A North Tonawanda woman is asking for Christmas cards to be sent to her sister-in-law with epilepsy and most recently, stage-4 cancer. Her doctors believe this could be her last Christmas.

The family of Mary Jarzynski took to Facebook putting out the call for Christmas cards and holiday recipes.

So far, she's received a few dozens.

Her sister-in-law, Christine Jarzynski, says receiving cards has helped Mary since being diagnosed with stage-4 pancreatic cancer. Mary has also lived with epilepsy since childhood, but she has been having more seizures because her body is trying to fight the cancer.

Christine has since become one of Mary's primary caretakers taking her to and from chemotherapy and doctor appointments.

Now, Christine just wants to cheer Mary up and give her the best Christmas ever.

"I love her. she deserves the best. I wouldn't do it for many other people in this world but she's such a such a good lady. She doesn't deserve to be going through this," Christine said.

Mary is excited to check her mailbox every day.
