NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Irish dancers took to the dance floor at the Niagara Falls Convention Center as the city started a weekend celebrations.
It was one of the many activities that brought people of all ages out for the 40th annual celebration along Old Falls Street.
"This usually draws anywhere from 1,500 to 2,500 people. It's really the first event of spring for everybody to get back out and meet their neighbors again," said Kevin O'Brien, president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Organizers told 2 On Your Side that Niagara Falls has a rich Irish history, with the city actually having been incorporated on St. Patrick's Day.
