NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A large group of friends, family and community members came together Friday night to remember the youth mentor and restaurant owner found dead in Niagara Falls this week.
On Christmas Eve, 69-year-old Jessie Richardson was found dead inside his home on Calumet Avenue.
He owned and worked at Richardson's Fast Food Deli for several decades. Tonight, that's where everyone gathered to reflect on the impact he had on so many people.
"The response was great. A whole lot of people in the community came out. And that's always good, you know?," said family friend Joesph McGhee. "To have someone not forget the ones who do the most, who put themselves out for the community."
Police are investigating Richardson's death as a homicide, but no arrests have not been made yet.
