LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A barn was completely destroyed after a fire in Lockport on Saturday.
Firefighters responded to a call of smoke around 11:18 a.m. at 5829 Comstock Road.
According to a news release from the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, no people were inside the barn at the time, and livestock were able to safely escape.
Fire officials said on a scanner that multiple vehicles were inside the barn.
Explosions were also reported, and the air base FAST team was requested.
Comstock Road is currently closed between Saunders Settlement Road and Lockport Road.
The fire appeared to be mostly extinguished around 1:10 p.m. but there was substantial overhaul to ensure it was completely out.
