Niagara County Sheriff's report a truck crashed into a Newfane home early Wednesday morning

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home that was struck by a truck early Wednesday morning in Newfane.

NEWFANE, N.Y. — On Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. Niagara County Sheriff's dispatchers received a call reporting that a car had struck a home in the 3200 block of Lockport-Olcott Road in Newfane. 

When deputies arrived on the scene they could see that a truck had left the roadway and struck the home causing structural damage. 

The driver who has been identified as Christopher R. Fredrick, 40, of Gasport was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. His charges include one previous conviction, driving while intoxicated which is .08% or more, aggravated unlicensed operations in the first degree, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. 

No injuries were reported at the scene by those in the home or the vehicle. There is no current estimation of the homes damages.

Fredrick was taken to the Niagara County Correctional Facility where he awaits centralized arraignment.
