Police car chase ends in vehicle found unoccupied

The chase began early Tuesday morning when a 2018 Chevy Equinox fled a Niagara County Sheriff Deputy.

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — Both Niagara County Sheriff's and Niagara Falls Police officers ensued in a car chase early on Tuesday morning. 

The chase began at 1:45a.m. when a 2018 Chevy Equinox fled a Niagara County Sheriff Deputy, and continued into Niagara Falls where Niagara Falls Police attempted to assist. 

Driving through the south end of the city, the driver refused to pull over, and eventually was able to evade police. The vehicle was later found unoccupied at 3rd Street and Rainbow Blvd around 2:10a.m. in Niagara Falls.

No other information regarding the reason for the chase or the driver has been given at this time.
