Buffalo, NY - You may notice that the night sky is a little brighter in downtown Buffalo.
Iskalo Development Corporation has completed its upgrades to the Electric Tower's L-E-D lighting system.
It's now lit in white, red, and green in celebration of the holiday season.
For the past two weeks or so, the Electric Tower was dark as workers made those improvements at the top of the building.
The upgrade cost about $100,000 dollars but building owner and developer Paul Iskalo says they will save about 85 percent in energy efficiency so they should recover the costs in several years.
Iskalo spoke with Channel 2 Photojournalist Franco Ardito about the lighting project, the history of the building which dates back to 1912, and the overall building lighting trend which is brightening the look for downtown Buffalo.
