BUFFALO, N.Y. — A launch event for the new art exhibit was held on Monday night at Patina 250 in downtown Buffalo.
The collection is called Imprint and not only highlights visual art but also celebrates the venue's role as a central point for Buffalo's creative community.
In addition to showcasing the works of diverse talents, Patina 250 has designed its menu to complement the artwork on display, creating an immersive experience for guests.
The newly curated collection showcases 7 artists, 6 with ties to the Buffalo area and one from Australia. The collection is the result of a collaboration between Alice Jacobs, president of the board at Buffalo AKG, Jerry Jacobs Jr., CEO of Delaware North, and Resource:Art.
Buffalo native Edreys Wajed, co-founder of Eat Off Art, is one of the featured artists in the exhibit. He is a past participant in Patina's "Guest Chef" series alongside his wife, Alexa. Wajed's contribution to Imprint was inspired by one of Alexa's culinary creations.
"Between the kitchen being a place for my wife to display her culinary art, and the walls once again featuring my visual art, we really love that Patina continues to be a place where these creative collisions take place," Wajed said.
Unlike typical exhibits, the art from Imprint was purchased upfront to support the artists, as opposed to being exhibited solely for sale. The previous art collection featured at Patina 250 has been donated to BestSelf.
Jacobs and Resource:Art have curated the collection with a vision that reflects Buffalo's creativity and spirit.
