BUFFALO NY - Residents in Buffalo's Seneca-Babcock neighborhood are once again speaking out about a facility in their neighborhood that they want shut down.
They were joined Friday by a representative from the Clean Air Coalition and local lawmakers. Residents maintain the dust, rats and noise from Battaglia Demolition is hurting their quality of life.
Jackie Weaver has lived on Peabody Street for 50 years and has been fighting against the facility for the past decade.
"I am tired of living at ground zero here in Buffalo New York, we have the right to expect quality if life for ourselves, our daughters, our sons and our grandchildren," said Weaver.
The State Attorney General's Office recently took Battaglia's owner to court. The AG's office maintains the facility doesn't have the proper permits to operate.
The owner's attorneys say that's not true.
Both sides are still awaiting a judge's decision.
