Mother of four killed in Wyoming County accident

The sheriff’s office said fog appeared to be significant factor in the crash, which happened on Route 39 at East Lake Road in the Town of Castile.

CASTILE, N.Y. — A woman has died and her two children were injured after a car collided with a tractor-trailer Tuesday evening.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office said fog appeared to be significant factor in the crash, which happened on Route 39 at East Lake Road in the Town of Castile. The sheriff's office says Renee Morris, 38, died when her car hit the tractor-trailer.

Two children were in the car with Morris. Both children went to the hospital following the crash and deputies say one child has been released.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and was issued a ticket for failing to yield the right of way.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash.

Family and friends have set up a GoFundMe page to help support Morris' four daughters.

The post says Morris was set to graduate from the GCC nursing program in a few months. You can donate here.
