ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — The Erie County Fair is here and one of the most popular experiences has returned, the 'Moo-ternity Ward'.
Fairgoers are able to receive a text alert when a calf is about to be born. Those interested can check out a live stream video if they aren't able to be there in person. Click here for the live stream.
Text ILOVECOWS to 866-866-1002 to be notified when a calf is born.
In a social media post made by the fair they shared a picture of a new addition, who was born the night before opening day, with the caption "The night before the Fair brought us a special surprise—meet Oreo, our newest heifer calf! Swing by the Agriculture Discovery Center tomorrow to say hello!"
The agriculture discovery barn was first introduced to the fair in 2014. It is the largest of its kind in the region according to the Erie County Fair's website.
New to the fair this year in the discovery barn, dairy farmers will be on site to talk about agriculture and have fun trivia, kids activities, and more.
Along with the cows other adorable experiences include the duckling slide, piglets, and more. To learn more visit www.ecfair.org
