New York State is launching a public awareness campaign to remind everyone that the state's minimum wage is increasing on December 31.
Minimum wage for large employers (11 or more employees) in New York City will rise to $15 this year.
The amount of the phased-in wage increases vary. In Western New York, the minimum wage will rise from $10.40 to $11.10 an hour on December 31.
The state has launched a Wage Theft Hotline (1-888-4-NYSDOL) for workers to report employers not complying with the increase.
