NIAGARA, N.Y. — Mercy Flight responded to the scene of a two-car crash in Niagara County on Saturday evening.
The crash happened around 5:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Town of Niagara Police.
A 2016 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling west on Porter Road and a 2005 Hyundai Tucson was going east. A witness told police the Hyundai lost control on a turn, collided with the Chevrolet, then flipped twice before coming to a stop in a ditch.
The driver of the Hyundai was extricated, then transported by ambulance to Niagara Active Hose, where they were taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center. They had serious injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center to be treated.
The crash is under investigation.
