Mayor Brown plans $9M in infrastructure spending over next year

Big street projects along Jefferson Avenue and Abbott Road are in the works. The mayor will give his plan to the Buffalo Common Council for approval on Friday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown spent Wednesday morning laying out his plans for infrastructure spending over the next year as the next part of his capital budget proposal.

He's planning $9 million of spending, including big street projects along Jefferson Avenue and Abbott Road. It's much like the changes the city has seen along Niagara Street and repaving parts of Delaware, Michigan, Fillmore and Walden avenues.

The mayor will give his plan to the Buffalo Common Council for approval on Friday.
