Man possibly stabbed Sunday morning on Buffalo's East Side

Police say a man was possibly stabbed around 9 a.m. on Sherman Street, between Broadway and Sycamore Street.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Police Department is investigating an incident that left a man badly injured Sunday morning.

Police say a man was possibly stabbed around 9 a.m. on Sherman Street, between Broadway and Sycamore Street. The incident was first reported as a shooting on the Buffalo Police Department's Twitter account.

Police say the man was badly assaulted, and his injuries appear serious in nature. He is currently at Erie County Medical Center.
