NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — North Tonawanda Police are investigating a fatal accident involving an e-bike Monday.
Police say they were called to a report of an accident involving a bicyclist near the Twin City Memorial Highway and Tremont Street.
Officers found a male who was riding an e-bike down the road. The man was taken to ECMC with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the e-bike rider was traveling east on Tremont Street and failed to yield the right of way to a 2014 Ford Explorer that was south on the Twin City Memorial Highway.
The bike rider, identified as Terry L. Crick, 58, of Jamestown, died Tuesday of his injuries.
The driver of the Ford Explorer is cooperating with police and is not facing any charges.
