EAST AURORA, N.Y. — There's more than just beer brewing at 42 North Brewing Company in East Aurora.
Owner John Cimperman is now in the Airbnb business.
The Lofts at 42 opened at the end of September. There are four rooms available to rent. Each of them is decorated differently and represent Western New York.
For example, the Queen City room's bed is positioned next to a large mural of Buffalo's iconic grain silos. Metal machine pieces, reminiscent of the city's industrial past, doubles as wall decor. Art work also reflects Buffalo — from popular street signs to one pointing toward wings.
The Hopland room pays tribute to Western New York's agricultural background. The Borderland room has a music theme and is named after the annual festival Cimperman started in East Aurora.
The Prohibition room is a modern twist on the 1920s. An old safe doubles as decoration, the furniture is a throwback to that time, and on the wall, there's a sliding picture. It's their take on a speakeasy — move it to the side and you'll reveal a window with a view of the brewery below.
"If these rooms were generic or cookie cutter, it wouldn't be an experience. We want people to come here. We want people to stay here, and we want people to talk about it when they leave. That's why the attention to detail is so important," said Cimperman.

You're on your own for breakfast — no continental here — but you will find 42 North's signature brews inside your mini fridge and get a growler to fill at their tap room next door.
"We are trying to create a destination here. We are trying to build a bit of a beer campus," said Cimperman. "We want people to come stay here and then enjoy the restaurants up and down main street in East Aurora."
Other expansions at 42 North Brewing Company include a meeting room that can hold approximately 40 people. It can be rented for small gatherings, such as bridal showers or birthdays parties.
They also added a canning line, so they can increase production. Previously, they rented temporary canning equipment.
