Lockport Police announce training exercises, community should not be alarmed

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Lockport Police Department announced training days for police and fire officials beginning on Monday.

The community may see an increased amount of emergency vehicles and loud noises, according to a Facebook post.

They shared that these exercises are being conducted in a safe and secure manner and that the public should not be alarmed.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 16, 17, and 18, these practice scenarios are taking place at the 1st Presbyterian Church at 21 Church Street.

In addition, they also asked that this area be avoided if possible in order to reduce traffic. They mentioned that in no way should anyone interfere with the exercises.
