BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Niagara County Department of Health will offer six free workshops next month to help individuals and caregivers manage chronic pain on a daily basis.
The six week program takes place at Lockport Memorial Hospital- beginning on August 13 and happening every Tuesday until September 17, from 1p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Each workshop will cover different physical and emotional aspects behind pain management- including topics such as exercise, nutrition, fatigue, and communicating with family, friends, and co-workers.
The Niagara County Department of Health encourages participants to tailor these workshops and the content to their own needs. The workshops are additionally open to caregivers of persons dealing with chronic pain.
