Meet Ava, the first WNY leap day baby of 2024

BUFFALO, N.Y. — How many people can say that they were born on a day that only ever happens every 4-years? Well this newborn can. 

Oishei Children's Hospital was happy to share the exciting news that baby Ava was not only the first leap day baby between their hospital and Millard Fillmore Suburban, but also that she has won $2,900 in Tops gift cards.

In a social media post Oishei wrote:

"Not many can say they're born a winner, but this cutie sure can! Meet Ava, the absolutely adorable winner of the Tops Friendly Markets Leap Year Baby Contest! Arriving at 2:55 a.m. this morning, she was officially the first-born leap year baby between Oishei Children's Hospital and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital."

"As the winner of the Leap Year Baby Contest, Tops has awarded the family $2,900 in Tops gift cards to help with all their baby essentials and family needs. From diapers to formula and everything in between, this generous gift will surely make parenting a little easier for this family!"
