Lancaster Save-A-Lot closes earlier than expected

After 22 years in business, the Lancaster Save-A-Lot closed sooner than the original expected closure date.

LANCASTER, New York — At the beginning of August we shared the news that the Lancaster Save-A-Lot on Aurora Street would sadly be closing its doors for good, after 22 years in the community.

Initially, the store had informed shoppers that they had until September 9 to do their final shopping before the closure, but now that is coming a little sooner than expected.

In a post made to their Facebook page on Friday, August 30 the store wrote "It is with a heavy heart that we have changed our closing date. We regret to inform you that we will be permanently closing the doors this Saturday, August 31st. We want to thank the residents of Lancaster for all of their support over the past 22 years and it was a pleasure to serve the community. Please visit our nearest location at the corner of French and Union in West Seneca."
