Niagara County to update on water levels, flooding preparation

That meeting will happen at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Newfane Marina.

OLCOTT, N.Y. — The Niagara County Director of Emergency Management and legislators will meet in Olcott to give an update on water levels and how the county is prepared to handle potential flooding situations.

That meeting will happen at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Newfane Marina.

Newfane's town supervisor announced last week that Olcott Beach will be closed all year because flooding has wiped it out.

That water is only expected to go up over the next few weeks.
