HAMBURG, N.Y. — Almost a month ago on December 16 a popular restaurant in Hamburg had announced it's closing, leaving many of it's customers upset to see the longtime restaurant go.
In a Facebook post when announcing their closing, Juicy Burger Bar said that its lease had been terminated, and the building they worked out of had been sold.
However, the property owner's attorney, Thomas D. Lyons, said otherwise.
In a statement sent to 2 On Your Side, Lyons says, "Juicy’s lease for the space it occupies ended as of March 31, 2023. Bearing that in mind, the decision to end Juicy’s continued occupancy effective December 31, 2023, was made only after Juicy (a) rejected new-lease offers from my client; and (b) failed to pay the full amount due for its use and occupancy of the space (including failing to make any payment for multiple months since April 1, 2023)."
When the 2 On Your Side Team reached out for further comment from both Juicy Burger Bar, and the property's owner they had declined.
But now as we enter 2024 the burger bar may be making it's return.
In a social media post that can be viewed below they wrote 'this is not goodbye it's see you soon'. It has not yet been confirmed if they will actually reopen and where the new location would be but we will continue to keep the story updated as information becomes available.
