Buffalo, N.Y. — Jim Kelly is set to come home Wednesday after receiving treatment for oral cancer.
The announcement comes weeks after Kelly left Buffalo to head to New York City.
His wife, Jill, posted an Instagram video and two photos around noon Wednesday with the caption, "We get to go HOME!!!! Praise the LORD!!"
In the video and one photo, doctors are examining Kelly's mouth. In the other photo, Kelly is giving two thumbs up while surrounded by his team of doctors.

The caption referenced future surgeries and months more of healing time.
It has been quite the journey for the former Buffalo Bills quarterback, and much of it is documented on social media.
In an Instagram post Tuesday, Kelly said "GOD willing we will be heading back home tomorrow."
The Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback initially went to New York City at the end of March for upper jaw reconstruction after oral cancer returned in his jaw.
Jill Kelly posted a video to Instagram on March 27th as they prepared to leave for the city.
"I know I can't do it without you people behind me...all the fans," Jim said in the video.
Bills fans and beyond followed Jim's journey as Jill and their daughters posted updates on social media.
After a 12-hour surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, the photos of recovery came rolling in.
One photo, from his daughter Erin Kelly, shows her holding her dad's hand and reads "Healing. One day at a time. One prayer at a time. Please keep praying."
Two days later on Easter, Erin posted again saying "On the day Jesus rose, my dad also stood and took his first steps since surgery."
Just a couple week later on April 12, we had an update that number 12 had been taken off his feeding tube. A video showed the Hall of Famer drinking his favorite: A chocolate milkshake.
And just two days later, Jill wrote on an Instagram photo: "With a swollen smile and a cane in his hand he was discharged from the hospital today."
Since then, Jim and his family have stayed in the city for rehab. Photos document Jim on exercise machines and walks around the city.
His doctor said that the speed of his progress was a "function of his toughness" which Bills Mafia knows just a thing or two about.
