JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — The City of Jamestown is hosting a trolley tour on Saturday, November 2. The group will tour the Northside neighborhood of the city to scope out possible revitalization opportunities in the community.
In an Instagram and Facebook post made by the City, the tour is part of their Comprehensive Plan, a community-driven document that addresses what a community is, where it’s going, what it wants to be, and how it will get there.
The contents of Jamestown's plan include land use and zoning, housing, economic development, natural resources, resiliency, sustainability, quality of life, and community services.
The trolley tour plans to meet in the parking lot of the Christ First United Methodist Church on Lakeview Avenue in Jamestown. The tour will run from 10a.m. - 1p.m. and will include walking and multiple stops along the way. Spaces are still available.
There is also a public workshop for Jamestown's Comprehensive Plan scheduled on November 13 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Haggy's Bar and Grill. It's an opportunity to share ideas and opinions.
Any questions or to sign-up for the Trolley Tours people can contact the Community Outreach Coordinator Joy Kuebler at akane@jklastudio.com.
