IRVING, N.Y. — A popular Irving ice cream stand shared some sad but also exciting news on Friday.
They posted to their Facebook page that sadly the current owners at Frosty Treat will be stepping away from their scoopers but that customers shouldn't get too worried as the ice cream stand will still be open just under new owners.
In the social media post the caption read:
"The end of an era… but the start of something new…. Frosty Treat has a new owner! It has been an amazing 29 years and quite a long process to find the perfect fit to continue this legacy— but a great, local family is taking over and we are excited to see what the future holds for Frosty Treat! You will certainly see new faces at the window but you may see some familiar ones as well. Changes will come as they make Frosty Treat their own, so please give them grace as they navigate their new business."
Frosty Treat first opened in 1954 and has had a few different owners since then, the most recent for the last 29-years.
