BUFFALO, N.Y. — Route 5 heading into downtown Buffalo was closed for a time Sunday night following an injury accident involving two cars.
The crash happened near the base of the Buffalo Skyway, prompting the closure of all eastbound lanes from Ohio Street to Outer Harbor Drive shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday. It was reopened around 9 p.m.
One of the drivers is being questioned by Buffalo Police officers, a City of Buffalo spokesperson told 2 On Your Side.
The other driver, identified by police as female, was taken to Erie County Medical Center to be treated for injuries.
While the Skyway was closed, all traffic had been diverted to the Ohio Street exit.
