Inclusive art show to benefit GiGi's Playhouse

GiGi's Playhouse provides free therapeutic, educational and career training programs for people of all ages living with Down Syndrome.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A special inclusive art show is happening this weekend at GiGi's Playhouse in Buffalo.

It's a show featuring artwork by artists with and without disabilities, and the artwork will be up for sale with proceeds going to GiGi's Playhouse.

GiGi's Playhouse provides free therapeutic, educational, and career training programs for people of all ages living with Down Syndrome.

"About six months ago, I think, we started doing a photography class and a whole lot of art classes, and we realized that the stuff they're producing is just incredible. So that sort of snowballed into sort of, 'How do we showcase this? How do we do it?' Again, we know people in the professional artistic community, and it just kind of came from there," GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo’s board president Will Mondschein said.

The show runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at GiGi's Playhouse on Kenmore Avenue in Buffalo. The even will also feature, food, drinks, and music.
