Vacant house on Buffalo's westside to be demolished following fire

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A vacant 2 1/2 story house went up in flames on the 300 block of Fargo Avenue in Buffalo's westside early Saturday morning. 

The Buffalo Fire Department was called to the scene around 5:53 a.m. 

Officials said that damage to the house is estimated at approximately $150,000, but nothing was inside due to vacancy.

They added that a demolition has been requested to make sure the area is safe, but it is not urgent as of Saturday. No injuries have been reported from the incident.
