Canalside hosts annual Hospice Memorial Walk

Many teams were formed in the memory of a loved one no longer here.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The annual Hospice Memorial Walk had people lacing up Sunday morning.

It's all about raising awareness and money for end of life care services. Many teams were formed in memory of a loved one no longer here.

JoAnne's Journey team had more than 100 people, and they walked in honor of a woman who died at the age of 57.

"Hospice stepped in, and they showed this awesome compassion, and they gave us a lot of support and comfort," John Deth of JoAnne's Journey said.

"We just appreciate all they've done, and they were at the house with Joanne to put our family at peace an a place to turn to."

Proceeds benefit Hospice Buffalo.
