ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. — Holiday Valley had a short-lived opening weekend as the rain brought a halt to operations.
The ski resort posted to their social media pages Sunday, an update for those eager to hit the slopes soon reading
"We were stoked that the rain held off today! Thank you to everyone who came out to ski/ride. Tomorrow we are going to close the lifts down for a few days so that the Mountain Crew can get some work done on the slopes and the Snowmaking Team can make snow when the temps allow. Stay tuned for more info about reopening. Until then, do your snow dances! See you back on the slopes soon."
On Friday, December 1 the resort held their opening day, and revealed to many snow sport enthusiasts the new updates they have made to their lifts and slopes since their last season.
The resort spent $8M on renovations for this season, which includes a new Mardi Gras six-pack ski lift.
Skiers, and snowboarders looking to check out the resorts conditions before visiting can find their daily snow report which is updated daily here.
