DEPEW, N.Y. - A popular local venue for weddings and other events is closing.
2 On Your Side has confirmed that the last event will be held at the Hearthstone Manor on March 7.
Hearthstone Mannor published the following statement on its Facebook page:
The Hearthstone Manor remains open for business. Although we face the same challenges as many businesses in Western New York, we are committed to meeting our obligations to our customers. In order that our customers can rest assured that events booked with The Hearthstone will be honored we are working with several partners in the hospitality business. Although we have no intention of discussing our guests' events in a public forum, in the coming days, we will personally call everyone who has an event booked with us to discuss exactly how we can accommodate them. We thank our customers for their loyalty to the Hearthstone Manor.
Michael Fantaske of the Buffalo Bridal Association says he was informed the Hearthstone Manor in Depew is shutting its doors for good. Our calls to Hearthstone were not returned.
In addition to weddings, the facility hosted the Psychic Fair and the Chopin Singing Society Dyngus Day Celebration each year.
Fantaske says he's working with Hearthstone reception clients to try and find other venues for their weddings.
