The Hamburg Skatepark Project held a socially-distant fundraiser this Sunday with hopes of building a new 10,000 square foot concrete skatepark.
Dia De Los BURGERS Day of the SHRED was held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the location of the current skatepark, 3808 Bayview Road.
There were burgers from Buffalo Bros Burgers, can/bottle return, contests, 50/50 and basket raffles. Burgers were sold until 4 p.m., and masks were required.
The group works directly with the Town of Hamburg Recreation Foundation on its mission to build a safe place for kids to skate and play. To learn more about the Skatepark Project, visit its Facebook or GoFundMe.
