NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A new living museum has officially opened in Niagara Falls at the former Niagara Gorge Discovery Center.
The NYS Governor had announced the Great Lakes 360 opening on Friday, July 12 and in a press release said she hopes this project will attract new visitors and reconnect the people of Niagara Falls.
“The new Great Lakes 360 space provides a new and unique opportunity for kids and families in Western New York to put down their phones this summer, go outside, and take advantage of the exhibits and panoramic views of the beautiful Niagara River Gorge,” Governor Hochul said. “By expanding the Aquarium’s footprint with this targeted investment, we are helping forge a brighter future for Niagara Falls by drawing in new visitors, boosting the pride of residents, stimulating the economy, and attracting new development to the city’s downtown.”
At the museum visitors can check out the multipurpose theatre, giftshop, rooftop area with views of the gorge, and more.
On Tuesday the New York State Parks & Historic Sites made a social media post sharing pictures of the new museum with a caption that read "Welcome to the new Great Lakes 360 living museum at Niagara Falls State Park!
