BUFFALO, N.Y. — Congressman Brian Higgns has recently announced that there will be a grant available for local fire departments that need critical funding.
The grant is officially live now, and the application deadline is on March, 8 at 5p.m.
“The Assistance for Firefighters Grant program provides local fire departments with critical funding needed to modernize equipment and train members. It is an asset to first responders, as well as the communities they serve,” Congressman Higgins said. “We encourage local departments to apply.”
Fire departments eligible through the grant will be able to receive direct financial assistance with the hopes that it can enhance operational efficiency, foster interoperability, and support community safety.
