BUFFALO, N.Y. — ConnectLife is teaming up with Perry's Ice Cream and offering up a sweet promotion this summer to encourage more people to donate blood.
During the month of July — which happens to be National Ice Cream Month — anyone who donates blood at a ConnectLife blood drive will get a voucher for a pint of Perry's Ice Cream. The vouchers are redeemable at participating grocery and convenience stores.
Four lucky donors will win a Perry's prize pack. Two $100 Amazon gift cards will also be raffled off each day on July 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
"We’re proud to partner with ConnectLife for a third consecutive year to support the critical need for blood donations in our community," said Gayle Perry Denning, Chief Marketing Officer at Perry’s in a released statement.
"What better way to thank donors for their life saving pint than with a pint of extra indulgent Perry’s Ice Cream. Since this year’s drive coincides with National Ice Cream month, we are expecting to set a record for donations. Join our team in donating a pint at any ConnectLife Blood Drive in July to receive your free pint of extra indulgent Perry’s Ice Cream. Together we can make a difference in our neighbors’ lives."
Every pint of blood donated can save up to three lives in Western New York.
