ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — This morning an Erie County Parks Department garbage truck was involved in an accident on the I-190.
Two employees for the Parks Department were both inside the truck when it tipped over onto its side during the accident, and were reported as experiencing minor injuries. Both were transported to ECMC for further observation following their removal from the truck.
The accident had occurred on the I-190 South just beyond the Ontario Street exit-14 in Tonawanda around 9:00am on Monday morning.
Since then the crash has been cleared, and the left lane has been reopened to travelers according to NITTEC.
