BUFFALO, N.Y. — The lake effect snow has impacted many parts of Western New York, even your garbage.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown made a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, reminding people about their garbage pickup days.
"A reminder that garbage pick up is a day behind. If your normal day is today, it will be tomorrow. If your normal day is Friday, it will be Saturday," Mayor Brown said.
The Town of Amherst Office of Refuse Control has shared information about garbage collection.
"On again, off again snows means the same for garbage day," Senior Refuse Control Officer, Ryan C. Licata said.
In a release, it was stated that garbage pick up only is running behind with a one day delay so, Friday's residents are being collected on Saturday.
Recycling materials will not be picked up this week for any residents living in the Tuesday and Wednesday collection areas however, will resume as regularly scheduled the following day.
Collections should resume as regularly scheduled by next week.
