NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — The Niagara County Department of Health has announced several opportunities for pet owners to get their animals up to date on their rabies vaccines for free.
Rabies vaccines can prevent a fatal viral disease that in most cases can kill an animal. The clinic is open to those with dogs, cats, and ferrets.
New York State Law requires that all dogs, cats, and ferrets have their rabies vaccines from ages 4-months and on.
Appointments are required and may be scheduled online by visiting www.niagaracounty.com/rabiesclinic or by calling (716) 439-7490. Registration opens on the first business day of the week of the clinic date, and separate registration is required for each pet.
Walk-ins will not be accepted at the clinics.
