AMHERST, N.Y. — Amherst Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that caused severe damage to a home late Thursday night.
Firefighters were called to 63 Cascade Drive just before midnight for a report of a kitchen fire that was spreading.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire showing from the back of the home. All of the residents were safely out of house when fire crews arrived.
Total damage is estimated at $225, 000.
Several fire companies assisted Ellicott Creek Fire, including Brighton, Eggertsville, Getzville, Kenilworth and North Bailey Fire Departments.
