BUFFALO, N.Y. — In a social media post made on Friday, Oishei Children's Hospital shared that the Neonatal Transport Team made history on Feb. 7 as the first all-female crew to be on a Mercy Flight in Western New York.
The team was comprised of pilot Becky Hunter, paramedic Kuo Reese, NNP Katy Perry, and RRT Mindy Maurer.
"The Neonatal Transport Team at Oishei Children’s Hospital provides emergent ground or air transport of critically ill and premature newborns in need of immediate care delivered by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This highly skilled Critical Care Team consists of neonatal nurse practitioners, registered respiratory therapists and neonatal physicians is supported by the Patricia Allen Fund through generous donations from our community." Oishei wrote in its post.
