NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission's, "Feed the Falls" event is giving back this holiday season, by making sure those in need in Niagara Falls have a hot meal on Christmas.
Dozens of volunteers prepared and served hundreds of turkey dinners with all the fixings Tuesday.
The Gospel Rescue Mission has been doing this dinner every year since 2007.
The dinner is very meaningful to both those serving, as well as those receiving the meals, too.
Pastor Geordie Davey says, "Every person that is coming in for dinner really appreciate them, they'll be serving dinner, cleaning up. That's what really makes things roll, is these giving back heroes in Western New York, that just love to give back to the community."
The mission also delivered hundreds of meals Tuesday morning, by picking up some of Meals on Wheels routes.
The Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission also serves meals every day, has an emergency shelter program, and a community closet two days a week.
