ELMA, NY -- An Elma man is now charged in the shooting of his son during an apparent domestic dispute Wednesday. The son is being treated for non-life threatening injuries after being shot at a home on Clinton St.
Thomas Manuszewski is charged with felony counts of criminal use of a firearm, assault with intent to cause serious injury, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
Erie County Sheriff Deputies say when they responded to the report of shots fired, they found a person with a gunshot wound to the chest. That victim was Manuszewski's 39-year-old son.
After receiving first aid at the scene, he was transported to the Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for more treatment.
Manuszewski is being held at the Erie County Holding Center. He's expected to be arraigned Thursday evening in the Town of Elma court.
