NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — On Dec. 13 a 'Miracle in North Tonawanda' will be happening for a good cause.
The event is aimed towards benefitting the NT InterChurch Food Pantry. It will feature a free public screening at the Riviera Theatre of the Christmas classic "Miracle on 34th Street." People who plan to attend are just asked to bring a non-perishable item to the event as a donation.
Restaurants in the area will be donating 10% of their sales as well to the good cause.
“What better way to get into the spirit of Christmas than enjoying dinner at any of the fabulous establishments in North Tonawanda, followed by watching one of the greatest holiday films ever made in A Miracle on 34th Street on the big screen at the Riviera,” said Legislator Andres. “At the same time, you will be assisting TCCO in providing food, clothing and holiday good will to people in our community who are in need.”
The event goes from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the movie starting at 7 p.m.
